Storage buyback — sell your SAN, NAS and enterprise drives

Maxicom buys used and decommissioned enterprise storage across Singapore and Malaysia — Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE and more, plus enterprise SSDs and HDDs by the tray. Storage is where data-security stakes are highest and recoverable value is easiest to overlook: controllers, shelves and especially enterprise drives hold real secondary-market value. We recover it, destroy your data to NIST 800-88, and pay in SGD.

Storage carries data and value — we handle both. Nothing leaves your control with data on it, and you get paid for the controllers, shelves and drives a scrap dealer would weigh by the kilo.

Why storage

The category where data risk and hidden value both peak

Retiring storage is the moment where a data-protection mistake is most expensive and the recoverable value is most often missed. Arrays are full of drives — enterprise SAS, SATA and NVMe SSDs and HDDs — that carry both sensitive data and genuine resale value, alongside controllers and cache modules worth recovering. In Singapore's financial sector, where MAS-regulated firms run large, tightly governed storage estates, and across Malaysia's growing data-centre base, storage refreshes are frequent and the disposal bar is high. We meet that bar — certified destruction on a chain of custody — and pay you for what's inside instead of charging to shred it.

The regional picture

Finance-grade data governance, region-wide

Singapore's status as a regional financial and data hub means storage disposal here is held to a high standard — data residency, auditability and certified destruction are non-negotiable for banks, insurers and their technology partners. Malaysia's expanding data-centre sector adds volume. We built our storage process around that reality: destroy first, document everything, then recover and pay. It's disposal that satisfies your risk team and your finance team at once.

What we take, and who it's for

A business and bulk service for data centres, financial institutions, IT teams and resellers across Singapore and Malaysia. Whole arrays and drive lots price best.
Data security

Nothing resold until the data is gone

Every data-bearing drive is sanitised to NIST 800-88 (HDD) and IEEE 2883-2022 (SSD/NVMe) with a certificate of destruction, or physically destroyed through a vetted partner where your policy requires it — before anything is resold. For sensitive estates we support on-site destruction and witnessed destruction, on a chain of custody that documents every serial number.

How it works

How selling your storage works

  1. Send your list. A spreadsheet, an inventory, or just photos — make, model, rough condition and quantity.
  2. Get a written quote. Priced in SGD against the live secondary market, line-item where it helps.
  3. We collect. Free across Singapore, arranged across Malaysia, on a documented chain of custody.
  4. Data wiped, you get paid. Certificate of destruction, settlement in SGD once your inventory is reconciled.

Data security

Nothing moves until your data is destroyed

Every data-bearing drive is sanitised to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 (HDD) and IEEE 2883-2022 (SSD/NVMe), with a certificate of destruction, on a documented chain of custody. Drives that can't be wiped are physically destroyed through a vetted partner. Certified destruction is what makes buyback safe under Singapore's PDPA and Malaysia's PDPA — so it's included in the deal, not billed as an extra.

Who we work with

Who sells to us

Offices and corporates clearing space · IT teams running a refresh · data centres decommissioning across Singapore and the Johor/Iskandar corridor · banks, healthcare and government needing certified data destruction · schools and universities · and resellers, distributors, ITADs and MSPs clearing surplus and client stock. One unit or a warehouse — the process is the same, and the paperwork always holds up.

FAQ

Your questions

Which storage brands do you buy?
Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE (Nimble/3PAR/Primera/Alletra/MSA) and most enterprise storage, plus loose enterprise SSD/HDD.
How is my data handled?
Every drive is sanitised to NIST 800-88 / IEEE 2883 with a certificate, or physically destroyed where required — before anything is resold, on a documented chain of custody.
Do you buy loose enterprise drives?
Yes — SAS/SATA/NVMe SSDs and HDDs by the tray are strong supply. Send counts, capacities and condition.
Can you destroy drives on site?
Yes — for sensitive estates, drives can be sanitised or physically destroyed on site or at our facility, with certificates either way, and witnessed if you wish.
Do you take faulty arrays or drives?
Yes. Faulty controllers and drives still carry component and spares value; tell us what you know.
Can you decommission the storage?
Yes — for whole arrays we de-rack, label and remove on a documented chain of custody.
Does this meet MAS and PDPA requirements?
Our certified-destruction process and audit trail are built to support PDPA obligations and MAS TRM controls for financial institutions.
Do you pay in SGD?
Yes — a written offer in SGD, priced to the live secondary market.

What is your storage worth?

Send your array models or drive counts and we'll come back with a written SGD offer and a data-destruction plan.
